Gender-Neutral God? Church of Sweden’s New Guidelines for Clergy
The Church of Sweden says they were only looking for variation in how clergy refer to God. They supplied three alternatives for the words to use at the start of worship services, including one which is gender-neutral. Controversy followed with many saying they were trying to replace 2000 years of theology.
