We enjoy the preaching. We enjoy praise. We enjoy fellowship. But we do not enjoy this.

I am a follower of Christ first and a pastor’s wife second. Jesus told us all to love the Lord and love our neighbors, and I certainly shouldn’t expect to do anything less than that as I minister alongside my husband.

If you want to be a servant-leader, then you’d better expect to be treated like a servant. There may be many components to finding your calling. But we’ll never find true satisfaction in it until we’re always serving and expecting to be treated like a servant.
